The Story of Après Ski Jewelry

Après Ski Jewelry was started by a curious artist-builder-skier named Heather Mullins. A Colorado native, and graduate of the Bachelor of Fine Arts Program at Montana State University and the Masters of Fine Arts program at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Heather has run her own art, design and furniture business called Relevant ReUse for the past eleven years where she designs and builds custom furniture, accessories, children's play features, and environments out of reused and recycled materials. Making jewelry was always a part of this as she would often have small scraps of interesting raw material that turned out to be perfect for earrings and necklaces. These materials included wood, fire hose, bike tubes and of course, her favorite, skis. Several years ago, Heather moved back to Colorado to establish her business in Denver and started skiing frequently again. Her ski jewelry rose to the forefront of her product line and Après Ski Jewelry was born.
